Hong Kong - January 13-15, 2012

A short weekend trip to Hong Kong.  Saturday was spent visiting Ngong Ping 360 at the top of the mountain.  Then a trip to Tai O Fishing Village.  Watched the Symphony of Lights on the Hong Kong skyline and lots of shopping of course.

Miscellaneous Bangkok Photos 2012

More Christmas Lights; Fancy Thai Dinner with Bonnie.  We ate coconut curry with beef, fried fish, fried bananas, and spring rolls.  The largest spice grinder I've ever seen!  Aroma Lavender massage, Terminal 21 mall that every floor is a different country/city:  Tokyo, Istanbul, Rome, Paris, London, Caribbean, San Francisco.  International Christmas Tree.  Lego's at the Emporium.

Phuket December 29, 2011 - January 1, 2012

I spent New Year's weekend in Phuket to ring in 2012.  I met with my friend Patra and her husband Brent.  I had my own pool villa which had a great view.  Brent was our driver and took us around the island to see all the many gorgeous views!

Christmas 2012

Being away from MO for the first time in 29 years for Christmas was a new experience.  The warm weather and normal every day life for the city around made it seem like it was not even Christmas.  Bonnie drove us to the Floating Market on Christmas Eve, we had a seafood dinner sitting on the edge of the river.  Then we saw Arthur Christmas on Christmas Night and had a great dinner.  I believe next year I would prefer my white Christmas.

B&V New Year's Party

The B&V New Year's Party was definitely not for those from conservative KS.  The Civil Dept did a great job at hosting.  The theme was "colorful."

Chiang Mia December 9-13, 2011

Went to Chiang Mia for the holiday weekend with Bonnie.  We met Travis and Dao on Monday to go to Doi Suthep Hilltribe Village, the Palace and Temple.  See photo links below for more pics!  My favorite part besides all the street markets were the little red trucks which are Chiang Mia's taxis.

2010 Annual Cookie Party

This year I added to the 12 dozen cookies I needed to bake by filling in for someone who could not participate.  That's right I baked 24 dozen cookies!  12 dozen iced sugar cookies and 12 dozen cinnamon wheels.
